iBUYPOWER have defeated compLexity 2-1 (16-13 de_cache, 14-16 de_train_ve, 16-12 de_nuke) to advance to ESEA grand final versus Titan.
The favorites started off strong on de_cache with a pistol round win that led to a 3-0 start. After a one-on-three by Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham the momentum shifted, and iBUYPOWER ran up to a 7-5 lead.
compLexity replied by winning the final three rounds of the half, but iBUYPOWER's second half pistol win put them up 11-8. coL won a save round next though, and tied the game at eleven.
Latham's one-on-one gave iBUYPOWER another lead, but the game continue dead even up until the 13-13 mark, when the underdogs finally broke loose and won three straight to clinch a win on de_cache.
On Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo's de_train_ve it was iBUYPOWER who won the opening pistol round as terrorists, and ran up to a quick 3-0 lead. But from there on out, the first half was all compLexity.
n0thing's coL tied the series on de_train_ve
First Spencer "Hiko" Martin clutched a one-on-two, and then coL mowed down some hits in both inner and outer. Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert put up a triple on round twelve, and coL found themselves up 9-3.
Sam "DaZeD" Marine's two AWP kills helped iBP win their first gun round, but compLexity's defense proved far too strong this time around, ending the half up 11-4.
Marine's team won the second half pistol round to give them some life, but a second round force buy from coL took all the momentum back, and gave them a comfortable 14-5 lead.
Double kills from Marine and Todd "anger" Williams got iBP going again, and they won three more before coL forced map point through the doubles from Martin and Braxton "swag" Pierce.
iBUYPOWER kept fighting to finish the series, getting as close to 14-15, but in the end it was Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert whose triple, as well as two from Martin, pushed coL over the top with a 16-14 score.
ex-Curse core finally outplace coL on LAN
compLexity started the deciding map de_nuke off with a lost pistol round again, and even lost the fourth round before winning a save round to get on the board at 1-4, also managing to break iBP's economy.
The next three rounds were traded before coL pulled ahead, setting up an inpenetrable defense that stymied iBUYPOWER, who went on to lose seven straight rounds, including a triple from Martin to make it 10-5.
Winning the terrorist pistol round gave coL a commanding lead, but a devastating save round loss quickly equalized the match as iBUYPOWER went on a run of seven straight rounds of their own.
Now down 11-12, Kory "semphis" Friesen's double helped tie the game once more, but then iBUYPOWER shut coL down, scoring four straight rounds to win the map 16-12 and clinch the series 2-1. ESEA Invite Season 15 Global FinalsBest of 3 Complexity
